Helping auditors move faster
Scope & Contribution
As the Senior Product Designer, I led the redesign of the audit experience over four months. I partnered closely with research, product, and engineering to improve visibility and collaboration across team members and automate repetitive tasks with AI.
Problem
Rocket audits thousands of loans every week, but the tools auditors relied on were slow and not designed to scale. Auditors spent their days juggling scattered documents and multiple systems, making audits more time-consuming and increasing the risk of missed compliance issues.
"I'm usually jumping between different 4 or 5 different tools for every single audit. Things are always slipping through the cracks."

Consolidating audit tools
We designed a new dashboard where auditors and team leads could quickly understand the health of their pipeline. We also brought tools like notes and status history directly into the auditing experience, making it easier to track progress and collaborate.
"Our dashboard is too static. We don't actually know the status of things and key details are buried."

Reducing manual work with AI
We redesigned the audit experience with AI at the center. AI answers routine questions automatically, while a redesigned interface brings document management and issue tracking into one place. Together, these improvements helped auditors resolve issues faster and complete more audits every day.
